These are the dates in April 2022: In April, four hours of attention await you in Pokémon GO. These take place every Tuesday and start on April 5. We list all the dates of the opening hours in Pokémon GO and show you what Pokémon and bonuses await you.
date | Pokemon | cousin |
---|---|---|

April 12, 2022 | partner | Dual Development XP |
April 19, 2022 | Myrapla | Double Catch Stardust |
April 26, 2022 | Kinoso (sun form) | Double Catch EXP |
What Pokémon will there be in April 2022? In April 2022, Skunkooh, Scoppel, Myrapla, and Kinoso are waiting for you at Pokémon GO opening hours. Unfortunately, you can’t catch Skunkapuh and Kinoso as Shiny, but you can catch Scoppel and Myrapla.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on April 5: with Skunkoo Poo and Double Shippable Candy
Hours of operation on April 5: On April 5, 2022, you’ll meet Skunkapuh, the poisonous Shadow Pokémon, in the Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour. You also get double candy for sending Pokémon.
Is it worth the spotlight hour? Skunkapuh can evolve into Skuntank. Unfortunately, both are not suitable for raids. Skuntank is a mediocre attacker in the Super and Hyper leagues. So far there is also no Skunkapuh to be caught as Shiny. Therefore, Attention Hour in Pokémon GO is particularly valuable for the double candy you get for sending Pokémon. Until then, collect monsters you want a particularly large amount of candy for and send them out between 6pm and 7pm on April 5th.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on April 12 – Scoppel and Double Evolution XP
Spotlight time on April 12: On April 12, Scoppel awaits you in the spotlight in Pokémon GO: the monster evolves into Grebbit and belongs to the Normal type. Also, during the hour you will receive double XP by evolving monsters.
Is it worth the hour in Pokémon GO? Grebbit is a good attacker in super league, but otherwise Scoppel is only worth it for the Pokédex. Especially when you meet Shiny Scoppel. But if you’re on your way to level 50, you shouldn’t miss this spotlight moment in Pokémon GO. Collect all your evolving monsters, light up a Lucky Egg and evolve them during Spotlight Hour. You will then receive the maximum amount of XP for this event.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on April 19 – Myrapla and Double Stardust
Spotlight time on April 19: You’ll encounter Myrapla in Pokémon GO during Spotlight Hour on April 19. The Poison Grass Pokémon has been around since the first generation and has been in the game for a long time. During the event, you will get double Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Spotlight hour is so worth it: Myrapla can evolve into Giflor and Blubella depending on whether you use Sunstone or not. Unfortunately, both monsters are only suitable for fighting to a limited extent and are therefore more suitable for your Pokédex. Giflor is only good as a poison attacker, but there are much better options out there. Those who collect Shinys may be lucky enough to catch a Shiny Myrapla during Pokémon GO Attention Hour. So the time on April 19 is worth it, especially for the double stardust. If you use a star piece, you can even collect four times more stardust.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on April 26 – Sun Kinoso and Double Catch XP
Spotlight time on April 26: In the Pokémon GO Spotlight ending in April 2022, Trainers can catch Kinoso in sun form. The Grass-type Pokemon also has the Shadow Form, which cannot be caught during the event. You’ll also get double XP for catching Pokémon during Spotlight Hour.
Is it worth the spotlight hour in Pokémon GO? Kinoso in sun form is a decent attacker in Superleague, but is otherwise only worth it for the Pokédex. Unfortunately, so far you can’t catch the grass-type Pokemon in its shiny form. If you use a lucky egg, the attention hour in Pokémon GO is still worth it, as long as you catch a lot of Pokémon. So you get four times the amount of EXP catch and you can level up just as fast.
With a very simple trick you can level up very quickly in Pokémon GO if you want to reach level 50 quickly. In addition to the opening hours, there are many other events in Pokémon GO in April 2022 that you should not miss. This includes two Community Days.
