“These are the system requirements for Dark Souls on PC‘ wrote a fan on Reddit who couldn’t believe his eyes. While From Software made a mistake with the high system requirements last week, the fix is by no means what those who expected expected. The new official minimum requirements are even higher, requiring you to have at least a GTX 1060.
Elden Ring – Developer Clears System Requirements – Corrupt Data?
Update of 02/15/2022 – 10:30 am: The PC system requirements that previously appeared for Elden Ring have disappeared again. Developer From Software must have made a mistake that immediately upset the community. In fact, the minimum requirements for Elden Ring were so high that some waiters couldn’t believe it and assumed these must be the recommended requirements.
So far, the Tokyo developer has yet to make an official statement. Since the system requirements have disappeared from both Steam and the official network website tests, it’s safe to assume that it really was a bug. But it also shows that From Software is really willing to share the information with fans. By February 25, the correct PC system requirements for Elden Ring will surely be revealed.
Elden Ring: PC System Requirements – Memory Hunger
First Reported 02/06/2022: Tokyo – In a few weeks, the Elden Ring will mount their mount and move forward to teach fans around the world how to die again. From Software’s new RPG will be released for old and new consoles and will also be available on PC at launch. As with many current games, the question arises: can the home computer really handle it? Here are the system requirements for Elden Ring on PC.
These are the minimum requirements: If you don’t have a PlayStation or Xbox in the form of a PS5 or Xbox Series X, or prefer to play with a mouse and keyboard, you’ll be happy to hear that Elden Ring is coming to PC at launch. Even better, the game is relatively frugal. But just so you can be sure, here is an overview of the minimum system requirements.
- Minimum Requirements for Elden Ring on PC
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K (4x 3.3GHz) or AMD FX-6300 (6x 3.5GHz)
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 280
- Dedicated video memory: 2 GB
- Pixel Shaders: 5.0
- Vertex shaders: 5.0
- Memory: 8GB
- Storage space: 150GB
- Operating system: Windows 7 SP1
At least you won’t have to resort to an RTX 3090 to get Elden Ring up and running. Instead, a GTX 770 or an R9 280 are completely sufficient. The required RAM is also limited to 8 GB. So you don’t have to worry about upgrading your computer for Elden Ring, as long as you can accept compromises in terms of graphics.
These are the recommended requirements: If you value a pretty look and a slightly smoother frame rate, you should take a closer look at the recommended system requirements for Elden Ring. Here too it’s nice to note that the game should probably run smoothly even on mid-range hardware. A little more RAM may be needed, but with an RX 480 in the 4 GB version it seems to be enough to play comfortably. Here are the full recommended requirements for Elden Ring at a glance.
- Recommended Requirements for Elden Ring on PC
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K (4x 3.5GHz) or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (4x 3.5GHz)
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB
- Dedicated video memory: 3 GB
- Pixel Shaders: 5.1
- Vertex shaders: 5.1
- Memory: 12GB
- Storage space: 150GB
- Operating system: Windows 10
Things to keep in mind: However, one thing in the Elden Ring system requirements should cause problems. The game requires an exorbitant amount of hard drive space and requires you to free up at least 150 GB of space. This hard drive hunger is probably due to the huge Elden Ring map, of which the known area of the network test is only 13 percent. If you don’t have an SSD installed in your PC either, you should expect long loading times with this amount of data.
Elden Ring: PC Release – So It Is With Crossplay
Will there be crossplay? If you want to get your hands on Elden Ring on PC, but also want to play with your friends on consoles, we still can’t give you any good news. In the Elden Ring network test, it was previously only possible to play between two console generations (PS4 to PS5, Xbox One to Xbox Series X) together. Full crossplay has not been confirmed or denied by From Software.
