Pikmin Bloom, the new “walking game” for iOS and Android created by Niantic, authors of Pokémon GO, has reached the height two million downloads worldwide just two weeks after posting.
The data comes from the Sensor Tower analysis, from which we also learn that up to 864,000 downloads of Pikmin Bloom come solely from Japan, followed by the United States and the United Kingdom, respectively, in second and third place.
We are talking about good results, but they obviously do not compare with those registered in the same period of time by other Niantic games based on more well-known brands. Pokémon GO reaches 75 million downloads in two weeks, while Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, which will close its doors shortly, has been downloaded by 12.4 million people.
In terms of in-app purchases, Pikmin Bloom has signed up $ 473,000 in collection in two weeks, mainly from Japanese players. Pokémon GO in the same time period had reached a level of 116 million dollars, while Wizards Unite “only” at 8 million.
If you haven’t already done so, we recommend that you read our Pikmin Bloom review in which Giorgio Melani explains that Niantic’s new work is “a kind of” social game “that works as a stimulus to leave the house, enter. outdoors. and possibly getting closer to other users. These are extremely positive things and this strange project is to be commended for being able to put them together in a quite elegant way and also recover a beloved brand, making the most of the charisma of the protagonists. It is a game more than a complementary application that aims at well-being, a true enriched pedometer, in fact not even as precise and technical as other more specialized ones but certainly more fun and stimulating. our Pikmin remain active in the background accompanying us at every step, without having to look continuously to the screen, it is pleasant and gives a feeling of completeness to the simple daily walks, with the only drawback of a battery consumption to really excessive ”.
