New Delhi: UPI payments have increased in recent times. Payment is often not made from UPI due to slow internet or network connection. But there is also a method that you can use to make payments from UPI even without the Internet. There is a USSD code for offline payments. You can access it from the phone dialer. This service is available to all mobile users. For this, you do not need network connectivity on your mobile.
USDD that we are talking about here. It is * 99 #. This means that if you want to make a UPI payment without Internet, you should go to the phone and dial * 99 #. You will then see a menu. In this you will see the option to send money to send money. The option to send money is in option number 1. Therefore, you must type 1 and respond to the USDD. That means you have to type 1 and click the submit option.
Here again you will see many options. In this, you will have the option to send money to someone’s mobile phone number, UPI, bank account. Select the option you want to send money to.
You can then provide the recipient’s bank account, UPI ID, or mobile phone number, depending on the option you choose. You will then need to comment on the payment. You will need to provide your UPI PIN to complete the transaction. Once you enter the PIN, your transaction will be completed without any internet connection.
