“Rigor, perseverance, tenacity and confidence” will accompany the athletes in each of their steps during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo. In fact, these four words will be embroidered on the inside of the collar of the robes unveiled by Lacoste, which will dress the Habs outside of competitions. The crocodile brand unveiled three outfits: a “ceremonial outfit” to parade behind the French flag, a “podium outfit” and a “village outfit”, worn in the Olympic village.
This “blue, white, red” collection is adorned with Japanese accents. Formal dress is characterized, for example, by its long kimono-shaped sleeves. A circle that refers to the flag of Japan is also drawn on the people’s attire. The collection will be sold exclusively in France from April 15, 2021 on the Lacoste site.
Lacoste has been the official supplier to the French delegation since 2012 and will complete its contract with the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games (OCOG) after the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. If the brand had wanted to extend this collaboration, the OCOG finally preferred Le Coq Sportif to dress the French team during competitions and performances in the capital.
