Los Angeles — In a video message to season ticket holders, Dodgers team president and CEO Stan Kasten is optimistic that fans will be able to play at Dodger Stadium this season, perhaps as early as the opening day. Was shown.
“We will start with spring training … We will start selling game tickets,” Kasten said in the video. “Approximately 2,000 people will participate in the match in Arizona. I don’t know how many here in California yet, but I’m working with local health authorities and working with the Governor’s Office.”
Neither the NBA nor NHL teams in California are allowed to sell tickets for fans participating in this season’s home games. California is now demanding that the county be in the orange layer, reflecting the modest spread of the coronavirus, before the team sells a limited number of tickets for the event. Los Angeles County is currently on the purple layer – two layers above the orange.
“I think the park will finally have fans by the opening day,” Kasten said in a video. “I don’t think it will be a full stadium yet, but I believe that sometime this season, what things will look like, we will be a full stadium again.
“So it’s going to happen. I don’t know how fast it’s going to happen. But it’s going to happen.”
Tickets for the Dodgers’ 13-Cactus League home game at Camelback Ranch, Arizona will go on sale Saturday morning. The Dodgers sell up to 2,400 tickets in 2, 4, or 6 pods per game. That’s less than 20% of Arizona’s home capacity. If the capacity of Dodger Stadium is 20%, about 11,000 tickets will be available.
The Dodgers will host a Freeway Series match against the Angels at Dodger Stadium on March 29th and 30th. They will start their regular season in Colorado on April 1st and home openers will face the Washington Nationals on April 9th.
