This week, WWE Champions 2021 celebrates its fourth anniversary with the in-game debut of Celebrities and the WWE Hall of Fame Snoop Dogg.
Players can add Snoop Dogg to the roster to play against over 250 WWE Superstars and Legends currently in the game. This is the first time Snoop Dogg has appeared in a WWE video game.
The first celebrity integration of the WWE Champions reflects the long-standing relationship between Snoop and WWE. As a super fan and member of the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing, he has appeared on many WWE live events such as WrestleMania and “Raw.” Snoop Dogg’s cousin is Sasha Banks, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.
“Doggfather is ready to join the game,” says Snoop Dogg. “The chance to join the WWE Champions is two things I love: a combination of games and WWE, like Ric Flair, DX, and of course my cousin Sasha Banks. Join the ring with some of my WWE favorites. If you are a WWE fan, you need to catch me in the “WWE Champions”. “
As part of his debut, Snoop Dogg will also act as the in-game master of the WWE Champions 4th Anniversary Ceremony in February. During the celebration, players will have the opportunity to add Snoop Dogg to the roster, win special in-game prizes from the limited-time Snoop Dogg prize vault, and win daily anniversary-themed login bonuses. From PVP showdowns to gauntlet blitz events to daily tours, all contests and game modes include anniversary and Snoop Dogg themes.
The WWE Champions move battles in the ring outdoors and upstairs, with all matches taking place in a special rooftop party-themed arena above the heliport.
The title blends match-3 puzzles with action RPG gameplay. Since its release in January 2017, more than 3.5 million fans have completed more than a billion games. Actions change daily, with weekly matches to recreate “live,” “smackdown,” and “NXT” battles, monthly pay-per-view events, and the ability to recruit more than 250 WWE superstars.
