Developer From Software confirms that: Free update Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Xbox One. New gameplay modes, unlockable outfits, and a replay feature that allows players to upload ghost records have been added.
The update includes two new modes: Gauntlet of Strength and Reflection of Strength. The former is a boss rush that has only one life for the player to defeat as many enemies as possible. The latter allows players to fight multiple previously defeated bosses.
This is definitely a popular feature for streamers and speed runners. In previous FromSoftware games, the entire game would have to be redone to recreate the boss battle.
The update also adds three different outfits that White Wolf can equip to change its appearance. When you complete the newly added challenge, two of them will be unlocked, and the third can be obtained by defeating Sekiro once. Costumes can be changed at Sculptor’s Idols.
Finally, this update adds the ability for players to upload a 30-second record of gameplay so that other players can view it like previous FromSoftware titles such as Bloodborne and Dark Souls. These recordings can be used to show players where secrets such as enemies and treasures are, and how to defeat challenging and / or frustrating bosses. It’s unclear what these will look like, but players can also use these recordings to write messages.
